Andrea (she/her) works in land conservation and management, providing better habitats for our local flora and fauna. She assists with field work and volunteer engagement at the Center.
Andrea is a Master’s student of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) specializing in Conservation Planning at the Bren School, UC Santa Barbara. She fell in love with birds when recording their songs for an interpretive exhibit called “Sounds of the Watershed” with The Escondido Creek Conservatory. During the lockdown, she experienced some quarantine nesters near her home, which solidified her interest. She sees birds as the gateway animal to appreciating urban wildlife. In her free time, Andrea enjoys reading, dancing, and exploring the Bay Area.
